Terra joined the Community Foundation team in June 2017 as the Executive Director. Previously, she served as the Associate Vice President for Development at the New Mexico State University Foundation in which she was involved in the campus’s most ambitious campaign to raise $125 million. Previous to this position, Terra served as the Assistant Dean for Donor Development and Alumni Relations for the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences. Her love for the NMSU Aggies and NM Agriculture drives her continued connection as an alumna and donor. As a lifelong New Mexico resident, Terra is passionate about nonprofit work throughout the state. Her professional background includes ten years with Mesilla Valley Hospice where she served the organization in many facets of community outreach, education, fundraising and board development. She has volunteered for multiple organizations including the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce and the Junior League of Las Cruces. Terra obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, minoring in Health Sciences, and a Master of Public Health from NMSU. She completed her Interdisciplinary Doctorate with an emphasis in philanthropy, nonprofit management and leadership in December of 2017.

Director of Impact and Outreach
Diana joined the Community Foundation team in 2023 as the Director of Impact and Outreach. She has far-reaching professional experience in the non-profit, higher education, early childhood and behavioral health sectors. In these areas her community involvement is extensive. She works as an adjunct faculty member at NMSU’s College of Health, Education, and Social Transformation, in addition to serving as a board member for both the New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health and the Tierra Del Sol Housing Corporation. She also is a co-lead ambassador for the Doña Ana County Early Childhood Education Coalition, a behavioral health co-sector leader of Doña Ana County Resilience Leaders, a member of LC3 Behavioral Health Collaborative. Diana is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has worked with individuals and families in diverse settings. She is also the founder of the Random Acts of Kindtrip. Diana is an Aggie alumna and received her bachelor’s degree in family and child science with a minor in counseling and educational psychology and her master’s in marriage and family therapy from NMSU.
Diana’s focus in her work is to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her passion lies in fostering a supportive community where people feel empowered and are provided access to resources and opportunities from a holistic and strengths-based approach. She is proud to call southern New Mexico home and is honored to work collaboratively with the amazing organizations and individuals we have throughout our region to support efforts that positively impact our quality of life now and for generations to come and to contribute to moving CFSNM’s efforts of building and strengthening communities forward.

Valeria joined the Community Foundation in February of 2022 as the Administrative and Operations Coordinator. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion Merchandising from the Colleges of ACES. At the end of 2024, Valeria was promoted to Grants and Scholarships Coordinator. Growing up in Las Cruces, Valeria has valued the importance of supporting small business and encouraging others to so the same. Being a part of a team that values community, support to others, and teamwork are a few reasons why she is happy to be a part of CFSNM.

Special Events Associate
Megan joined the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico in January 2024 as the Special Events Associate. Her journey with CFSNM began in 2020 as an intern, an experience that deeply shaped her commitment to community-focused work.
After completing her internship, Megan graduated from New Mexico State University with Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Economics and relocated to Dallas, TX, where she broadened her expertise in digital marketing, brand development, and web design.
Returning to her hometown has been especially meaningful for Megan. She is grateful to once again serve the region that helped shape her and is honored to support CFSNM’s mission through thoughtful, mission-driven events. In her role, she is passionate about creating experiences that bring people together, celebrate generosity, and inspire lasting community impact.
Megan is dedicated to growing within the nonprofit sector and learning from the remarkable team around her. She is driven by the belief that strong communities are built through collaboration, compassion, and meaningful engagement

Administrative and Facilities Coordinator
Sarah joined the Community Foundation in October 2024 as the Administrative and Facilities Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration in 2020, and then went on to obtain a master’s in public health from Grand Canyon University in 2023. Growing up in a rural ranching community Sarah values community support and collaboration. Working in the healthcare field during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarah saw firsthand the hardship and struggles our community was facing when it came to finding resources and information. Being a part of the CFSNM team, Sarah looks forward to being a bigger part of community engagement and support.

Stephanie joined the Community Foundation in December of 2025 as the Finance Coordinator. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She volunteers in the community with the Junior League of Las Cruces and at the military base, White Sands Missile Range. With her extensive background in finance and budgeting she is passionate about clarity, accuracy and supporting organizations through all their financial needs. Stephanie is excited to be part of a team that gives back to the community in many ways. As a new resident to New Mexico, Stephanie is looking forward to getting to know the community and growing her non-profit knowledge.
