The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico invites students of all degree paths to apply to our 2025 scholarship cycle.

Your CFSNM offers scholarships that support students from all walks and stages of life in pursuing various avenues of their educational and professional journeys.

Applicants must be pursuing any avenue of higher education and/or professional certifications. This includes undergraduate, post-grad, vocational and more! Applicants must be actively enrolled as a student. Applicants in high school must be a graduating senior.

With a wide range of categories, your CFSNM offers scholarships for everyone including, but not limited to:

Aaron Michael Cox Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

Scholarships for minority students studying Audio Production at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio

Alamogordo Breakfast Lions Club Scholarship

To support students who are graduating senior(s) from Alamogordo High School enrolled in the CTE (Career Technical Education) program classes in a Professional Occupation, Technical, Health or Trades, area of study, attending New Mexico State University-Alamogordo campus or a certified school in New Mexico other than NMSU-A to continue a CTE type degree.

Alexis Elle Endowment Fund Scholarship

For single mothers with financial need attending NMSU and/or DACC

Alexis Legarreta ENLACE Scholarship

To help with furthering the education of graduating Mayfield High School ENLACE participants

Alfred P. Corral Endowment Fund

Scholarships for Hispanic students, with a preference for students from Mexico with a preference for students enrolled at DACC

Anna-Marie Aldaz Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships to students in which English is not their native language, attending Dona Ana Community College studying English as a second language

Aprendamos Esperanza Education Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships to support children of employees at Aprendamos Family of Services who plan to attend a higher education institution.

Aprendamos Juntos Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships to NM resident, second-semester students working in one of the following; physical therapy, occupational therapy, board certified behavior analyst program

Barry McClure Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

Scholarships for post-secondary education for students graduating from a high school in southern New Mexico, participating in a track or golf program or entering a professional golf management program at New Mexico State University

Buckhorn Tavern Scholarship Fund

Scholarships are awarded to Socorro County residents studying to complete their GED or HiSet. Other considerations will be given to nontraditional students pursuing a degree in a vocational learning institution

To make awards to one or more (undergraduate/graduate) students attending NMSU Alamogordo campus

To support non-traditional, female students who are residents of Southern New Mexico. Must be attending a post-secondary school in Southern New Mexico.

David Diaz Music From the Heart Endowment Fund

New Mexico music programs and/or music scholarships for both public and private school students

Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Memorial Foundation STEM EDucator Scholarship

To support students who in the STEM field at New Mexico State University.

To support a student graduating from a Chaves County, New Mexico School District, an undergraduate student attending any higher education 4-year university with a 3.5 GPA or higher showing commitment to their community through volunteerism

This scholarship is primarily for students attending NMSU-Alamogordo, NMSU-Roswell, or NMSU-Ruidoso and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, students of all ages and learning levels are encouraged to apply

Juan Diego Guadiana Legacy Foundation Fund

Scholarships for students who attended high school at Las Cruces High School or in Doña Ana County. Students who are undergoing cancer treatment or have had to pause school previously to undergo cancer treatment; students who are interested in or who are pursuing kinesiology, physical therapy, or occupational therapy; students that have been a part of Junior ROTC or ROTC.
