2nd Annual NM Fallen Officer Memorial Run

February 16 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

Everyone is welcome to run!

The Officer Memorial Run is a tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of New Mexico State Police Officer Darian Jarrott and Las Cruces Police Officer Jonah Hernandez, both of whom lost their lives in the line of duty while serving and protecting their communities.

This memorial run is not just about covering a distance—it is about remembering two heroes who gave everything for the safety of others. The chosen distance of 3.30 miles holds deep significance, as it honors Officer Darian Jarrott’s badge number, 330. Officer Jarrott’s tragic passing on February 4, 2021, left a lasting impact on his fellow officers, loved ones, and the people of New Mexico. His dedication, service, and love for his family continue to be remembered through events like this.

Alongside Officer Jarrott, we also honor Officer Jonah Hernandez, who made the ultimate sacrifice on February 11, 2024. Officer Hernandez was responding to a routine trespassing call when he was senselessly attacked. His heroism and commitment to protecting the citizens of Las Cruces will never be forgotten.

This run is more than just an event—it is a symbol of unity, remembrance, and respect for the brave men and women who risk their lives every day to uphold the law. By participating, we ensure that Officers Jarrott and Hernandez’s legacies live on, and we show unwavering support to their families, fellow officers, and the communities they served.

Together, we run 3.30 miles in their honor, carrying forward their memory, courage, and dedication. They will never be forgotten.
