DESCRIPTION:Vintner\, wine enthusiast and NMSU ACES instructor Dale Ellis will explain winemaking and the challenges faced by growers of fruit of the vine in Southern New Mexico in the final presentation of the 2025-26 season of the Friends of the Farm and Ranch Museum’s Culture Series. \n\n\n\nAt NMSU\, Ellis teaches how to turn grapes into wine\, as well as production economics\, and marketing. His work emphasizes precise management of measurable variables while preserving the individuality of terroir. As President of the Southern Rio Grande Chapter of the New Mexico Vine and Wine Society\, he contributes to regional wine leadership through professional tastings\, formal evaluations\, judging\, and educational workshops. \n\n\n\nThe event will be on Thursday\, March 19\, at 7 p.m. in the Museum Auditorium. DESCRIPTION:Join the curator of New Mexico’s only active Army museum for a look at the White Sands Missile Range Museum. For more than 30 years\, the Museum has collected\, preserved\, and exhibited artifacts and other materials relating to the history of WSMR and the Tularosa Basin. The Museum also explores the history of the surrounding lands’ native peoples and cultures\, its flora and fauna\, and natural geology and landscapes. Darren Court\, who has led the Museum since 2008\, will be explaining how the Museum operates at the Friends of the Farm and Ranch Museum’s February Culture Series\, “More than Just Missiles\,” on Thursday\, February 12\, at 7 p.m. in the Museum Auditorium.
